Ted And His Team Have Inspected Thousands of Structures Across Colorado
We Specialize in Full Demolition Bulk Asbestos Inspections and
Specialized Severely Burned Structure Surveys
Because our business is limited to testing and consulting – not
remediation or demolition – you can be confident our
assessment will be accurate and unbiased. If we find an asbestos
related problem, you hire a separate asbestos mitigation firm,
an industry best practice. This approach can potentially save you
thousands in unnecessary repairs
Did you know, the State of Colorado has some of the most strict asbestos regulations in the country?

WHAT IS ASBESTOS?
Asbestos is the generic, commercial designation
for SIX types of naturally occurring minerals
mined from the earth…
WHY IS ASBESTOS USED?
-
Asbestos is Fireproof
-
Asbestos has amazing acoustical properties
-
Asbestos has incredibly high tensile strength
-
Asbestos remains stable at high temps
-
Asbestos is water-proof or Hydrophobic
WHAT ARE THE HEALTH RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH ASBESTOS EXPOSURE?
-
To be of significant health concern must be inhaled - or much less commonly, ingested. If products containing asbestos do not crumble and are not exposed, health risks are considered negligible; however, that changes when the asbestos containing material breaks down or pulverized. At that point, microscopically-thin fibers can become airborne
-
When asbestos fibers are released into the air, they can remain airborne for up to 72 hours before settling on a surface
-
There is not a designated "safe level" of asbestos exposure, however, the higher the concentration of fibers in the air, and the longer an individual is exposed, the greater the risk of an impact on health
MAJOR ASBESTOS DISEASES...
Asbestosis - The most common disease. Affects the aveoli and
bronchia of the lungs and and is associated with long term
repeated exposure that ultimately scars the lungs so severely
that they cease to function properly due to a lack of elasticity
Mesothelioma - Most referenced and rare form of asbestos
disease, which is a small cell cancer of the pleural membrane.
It is an extremely quick moving and deadly form of cancer.
Lung Cancer - Other types of lung cancer have also been
attributed to asbestos exposure.
Other Cancers - Ovarian, Uterine and other types of asbestos
related cancers, although rare, have been documented
